This Return and Refund Policy explains our policies regarding service cancellations, refunds, and satisfaction guarantees. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) apply where you are a consumer and are not excluded by this policy.
Return Period
For our styling services (consultations, sessions, and related services):
- Refund requests for cancelled appointments must be made within the timeframes set out in our Order Cancellation Policy below
- If you are dissatisfied with a service that has been provided, please contact us within 7 days of your appointment so we can address your concerns and, where appropriate, discuss a refund or remedy
For any physical goods supplied by us (if applicable), the return period and conditions will be stated at the time of purchase or in your order confirmation.
Conditions for Return or Refund
A refund or remedy may be available when:
- You cancel within the required notice period (see Order Cancellation Policy)
- We cancel the service and cannot offer a suitable alternative
- The service was not supplied as described or did not meet a consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law (e.g. acceptable quality, fitness for purpose where applicable)
- There was a significant failure in the service that we are unable to resolve to your reasonable satisfaction
We may ask you to provide your booking details and a brief description of the issue so we can assess your request.
Cost of Return Delivery
Our business primarily supplies services (styling consultations and related services). No return delivery is required for cancelled or refunded services. If we supply physical goods in the future, any cost of return delivery for those goods will be stated in the relevant offer or order terms.
Service Satisfaction Guarantee
We strive to provide exceptional styling services that meet your expectations. If you are not satisfied with the service you received, please contact us within 7 days of your appointment to discuss your concerns. We will work with you to address any issues and may offer additional consultation time or service adjustments at our discretion.
Order Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans change. Our order cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will receive a full refund
- Cancellations made between 24-48 hours before the appointment may incur a 50% cancellation fee
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment are subject to the full service fee
- No-shows without prior notification will be charged the full service fee
Rescheduling Appointments
We are happy to reschedule appointments when possible:
- Rescheduling requests made more than 48 hours in advance are free of charge
- Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours may be subject to availability and potential fees
- We allow one free reschedule per booking; subsequent changes may incur administrative fees
Refund Eligibility
Refunds are available under the following circumstances:
- Cancellations made in accordance with our cancellation policy timeframes
- Service cancellations initiated by Jointfrclearia due to stylist unavailability
- Significant service quality issues that we are unable to resolve to your satisfaction
- Services that were not delivered as described or purchased
Non-Refundable Items
The following are generally not eligible for refunds, except where the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law requires otherwise:
- Completed styling sessions where services were delivered as agreed and met the agreed description
- Digital products such as lookbooks or style guides once accessed or downloaded
- Gift certificates or vouchers unless required by law
- Dissatisfaction based solely on personal style preferences that were discussed during consultation
General Legal Requirements
Under the Australian Consumer Law, consumers have statutory guarantees in relation to goods and services. These include guarantees that services will be rendered with due care and skill, will be reasonably fit for any disclosed purpose, and will be supplied within a reasonable time. Our policy does not exclude or limit any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you believe a guarantee has not been met, you may be entitled to a remedy (such as a refund, replacement, or compensation). Please contact us to discuss your situation.
Refund Process and Procedure
If you are eligible for a refund:
- Contact us via email or phone to request a refund
- Provide your booking details and reason for the refund request
- We will review your request within 3-5 business days
- Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business days
- You will receive confirmation once the refund has been processed
Service Modifications
If you wish to modify your booked service:
- Changes to service type or duration must be requested at least 48 hours in advance
- Price adjustments will be calculated based on the new service selection
- Upgrade fees must be paid before the appointment
- Downgrades may result in partial refunds or credit toward future services
Force Majeure
In cases of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control such as natural disasters, health emergencies, or government restrictions, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule without penalty.
Dispute Resolution
If you have concerns about our services or this policy, please contact us first to resolve the issue. We are committed to working with you to find a fair solution. If we cannot resolve the matter directly, you may seek resolution through consumer protection agencies in Queensland, Australia.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Return and Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
